The University of New Brunswick has a new president.
Dr. Paul Mazerolle is returning home after leaving the province in 1989 and most recently he was working in Brisbane, Australia.
Mazerelle just completed his first week on the job and said he is pretty excited to be there.
“New Brunswick is a place I hold close to my heart and UNB had a big impact on my professional life so, I see this after a way to give back.”.
Mazerolle considers himself a builder.
“I have been fortunate to be successful in building programs, cultures, student experiences and research performances and I think we can do that at UNB as well,” Mazerolle said.
He considers the campuses of UNB to be a stakeholder and he says the challenge is to educate the next generation of leaders, teachers, engineers and lawyers.
