The Saint John Alpines are ready for another season of New Brunswick senior baseball.
Teams from Fredericton, Moncton, Charlottetown, Saint John and Chatham make up the league.
Terre Hunter from the Alpines tells us it’s a big commitment to play at this level.
“We’ve been practicing on a weekly basis since January and during the season pretty much every weekend we are playing someplace either at home or on the road,” Hunter said.
1 day until the <alpines start their 2019 season! Hopefully the weather cooperates and the planned double header between the @SJAlpines and @ChtownIslanders goes ahead with game 1 startting at 2pm.. Go Pines!

Pitcher Andrew Case is joining the team this year after a few years as a pro with the Blue Jays farm system.
“He decided it was time to come home so, about a month ago he contacted us. He has been reinstated as an amateur player and we are really excited to have him with us. He’s a huge addition.” Hunter said.
Saint John starts off the new season with their home opener on Saturday against the Charlottetown Islanders in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. at Memorial Field.
