Seniors without much money can apply for a provincial benefit that will provide them with $400.
Applications for the 2019 low-Income Seniors’ Benefit will be available starting on Monday, April 1st at Service New Brunswick Centres.
The application can also be made online or it can also be printed off from the Department of Finance and Service New Brunswick websites.
A person must be a resident of New Brunswick as on December 31st 2018 to be eligible and they must also be getting at least one federal benefits under the Old Age Security Act.
They include the Guaranteed Income Supplement for those 65 years old and the Allowance for Survivor Program for those between the ages 60 and 64.
The deadline to apply is December 31st.
