A New Brunswick darts player has reached the final eight at the British Darts Organisations World Championships.
Jeff Smith of Hampton beat 15th seed Brian Dawson of England four sets to one to advance to the quarter-finals.
The 40 year-old is quickly becoming a crowd favourite after upsetting the number two seed and three-time World Champion, Martin Adams, earlier this week.
Smith will be back on stage on Friday against Dennis Harbour of England.
The B-D-O World Championships are being held at the Lakeside Country Club in Surrey, United Kingdom.
