Police are investigating after the discovery of a body off Long Wharf shortly after 10:30 this morning.
The body was seen by people on a fishing boat.
Major Crime has been called in.
It’s not known if the body is that of a man or a woman and we’re told will be sometime before an identity is established. It depends on how long the body has been in the water.
Police say it’s too early to speculate about people who have gone missing.
