Recognize and celebrate our differences.
That is the idea behind Creative Connections, an art program for adults with intellectual disabilities, which operates a drop-in program at their gallery space on Prince William Street.
It was founded two years ago and is a creative initiative of L’Arche Saint John.

Program Leader Tricia Hayes tells us the people they serve get great joy from creating art.
“One of the biggest comments we get is ‘Oh, it’s so colourful’. We really love that, it definitely stands out in the art here. Everyone has their own style but, it really just truly makes you happy looking at it.” Hayes said.
Creative Connections is up for a Faces of Fusion award in the community builder category and Hayes tells us they are really excited to be nominated for outstanding leadership in the community.
They will find out Saturday night at the Faces of Fusion gala awards if they were successful.
