The Progressive Conservatives under the leadership of Premier Blaine Higgs are more popular now among New Brunswickers than they were in November.
The PCs gained 6.5 points to just pass 40 per cent support, with the Liberals falling by almost that exact amount, to 27 per cent support.
The Greens and People’s Alliance party lost very small amounts of support, and are at 15 and 12 per cent respectively.
Meanwhile, the NDP has fallen a further 1.5 percentage points to 4.5 per cent support.
The PCs have the most support from those between 35 and 64, while those outside that age range tend to prefer Liberals.
The poll was conducted by Mainstreet Research over two days in mid-January.
