K-V fire crews had their work cut out for them after a single car crash on Rothesay Road over the weekend.
The driver of a small sedan lost control and struck a tree which fell on the car. Firefighters had to remove large branches of the tree before they could even attempt getting to the driver.
The car was on its side and firefighters had to stabilize the vehicle before removing the roof in order to reach the driver who was transported to hospital to be treated.
