Residents in Belleisle have been without their community pool for about four years now, but that is about to change.
The provincial and federal governments have announced $200,000 for upgrades to allow the pool to reopen.
The money will be used for a dehumidification unit, pool equipment, roofing shingles and siding, as well as electrical upgrades and interior painting.
New Brunswick Southwest MP Karen Ludwig says investing in projects like this is essential to providing greater access to healthy lifestyles, long-term economic growth and middle-class jobs.
The money is coming from the federal government’s Gas Tax Fund.
