Flair Airlines is gearing up for the return of its flights between Saint John and Toronto Pearson.
The ultra-low cost carrier is scheduled to launch its 2025 seasonal route on April 25.
Officials at the Saint John Airport (YSJ) said it is a bit earlier than they were initially expecting.
Lori Carle, the airport’s marketing and PR manager, said this is great news for travellers in the region.
“Flair Airlines’ commitment to Saint John is making it easier for people to visit family, explore new destinations, and do business in both cities,” Carle said in a statement.
“We’re proud to work with Flair to bring more connectivity and choice to our community.”
Flair will operate twice-weekly at the start on Mondays and Friday, expanding to three times per week on Sundays, Mondays and Fridays in mid-May.
The route will switch to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting in mid-June and return to Sundays, Mondays and Friday in early September.
It will then reduce to two days a week (Mondays and Fridays) in late September before ending for the season on Oct. 24.
“We’re excited to be reconnecting Saint John and Toronto this spring, with our first flight taking off on April 25,” Eric Tanner, VP of commercial at Flair Airlines, said in the statement.
“Making travel between New Brunswick and Ontario more affordable and accessible is what we do, and we’re proud to help more Canadians experience Saint John’s beauty, history, and hospitality.”
Airfare starts at $72 each way and increases with demand. Flair first began operating a seasonal route between YSJ and Toronto Pearson in 2021.
