A former New Brunswick civil servant is the next president and CEO of Atlantic Lottery.
Dallas McCready has served as the organization’s chief strategy officer since 2022.
McCready brings more than 20 years of experience in the gaming industry and the public sector to the role.
“He brings significant gaming experience and a unique set of skills and experiences that will drive the organization forward at a very exciting time in the industry,” Sean O’Connor, Atlantic Lottery’s board chair, said in a news release.
“The fact that we were able to identify the ideal next president and CEO from the internal executive ranks speaks to the strength and depth of the team at Atlantic Lottery.”
Prior to his time at Atlantic Lottery, McCready was vice-president at Inversa Systems and served as a deputy minister with the New Brunswick government. He also spent time with working with Spielo Gaming.
McCready said he is honoured to have earned the confidence of Atlantic Lottery’s board and looks forward to the exciting work ahead.
“Atlantic Lottery has always punched above its weight. With increasing competition in the sector, we are emerging as a leader in healthy play for our customers while continuing to make a game-changing impact for the people and places of Atlantic Canada,” he said.
Last year, former President and CEO Patrick Daigle announced his intention to retire from Atlantic Lottery in 2025 after more than 27 years of service.
An ad-hoc board committee was established to oversee the recruitment for Daigle’s position. An extensive international search considered more than 120 applicants.
