Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for much of New Brunswick, with 15 to 25 centimetres forecasted from Sunday evening until Monday morning.
Areas under the warning include:
- Kent County
- Acadian Peninsula
- Miramichi and area
- Bathurst and Chaleur Region
- Kouchibouguac National Park
- Oromocto and Sunbury County
- Grand Lake and Queens County
- Grand Falls and Victoria County
- Woodstock and Carleton County
- Mount Carleton – Renous Highway
- Stanley – Doaktown – Blackville Area
- Fredericton and southern York County
- Campbellton and eastern half of Restigouche County
Strong winds are also expected behind the system and will make driving conditions challenging by causing blowing snow and reduced visibility on Monday.
Forecasters explained areas near the Fundy Coast are not under the warning as the snow may change to rain over those areas, leading to reduced snowfall totals.
Areas not under the warning include:
- Sussex
- Moncton
- Saint John
- Charlotte County
- Kennebecasis Valley
Environment Canada advises residents to be cautious and adjust their driving based on changing road conditions.
