Another move by the leader of the federal Conservatives to trigger a fall election.
Pierre Poilievre is calling on the leader of the federal NDP to break their deal with the Liberals.
He says Jagmeet Singh is standing in the way of Trudeau getting fired and claims he won’t walk away because of the promise of a secure retirement.
“Jagmeet Singh is trying to delay the election until February of next year, so he can qualify for a $2.2 million taxpayer-funded pension. That’s why Canadians are calling him ‘sell-out-Singh’.”
Poilievre says Singh ‘sold out’ workers through the agreement with the Liberals and says his message to him is to put the people ahead of his pension.
“Break the costly coalition with Trudeau to trigger a carbon-tax election, where Canadians can choose between the costly coalition of the NDP-Liberals that tax your food, punish your work, take your money, double your housing costs, and unleash crime and chaos in your community…or common-sense Conservatives who will axe the tax, build the homes, fix the budget and stop the crime.”
The NDP made an agreement with the Liberals to back them up until 2025 to help push through several policies including a national pharmacare deal.
