It was the former U.S. president’s first public appearance following an assassination attempt on the weekend.
A man fired at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania killing one supporter on Saturday. A bullet grazed Trump’s ear.
The 20-year-old gunman was shot dead, and his motive remains unclear.
At Monday’s convention, Trump received a loud ovation. Republicans chanted, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” and pumped their fists.
Trump is due to formally accept the party’s nomination Thursday in a speech.
