You will want to give yourself extra time if you are travelling through the New Brunswick-Nova Scotia border on Monday.
The Trans-Canada Highway is down to one lane in each direction due to an ongoing demonstration by those opposed to the federal carbon tax.
It is one of several events happening across the country on Monday as part of a nationwide protest.
RCMP had diverted traffic around the demonstration earlier in the day Monday over what they described as “public safety concerns.”
However, as of 2:45 p.m. Monday, one lane had reopened to all traffic in each direction.
