New Brunswickers will get a bit more from the carbon tax rebate starting in April.
Ottawa announced the carbon tax rebate amounts for the 2024-25 fiscal year on Wednesday.
A family of four in New Brunswick is set to receive $190 every quarter, or an additional $24 for the year.
Individuals will get $95 every three months, or $12 more for the year.
The feds are also planning to double the rural top-up to 20 per cent, pending Royal Assent.
Meanwhile, the federal government also announced it is changing the name of the rebate.
It will now be known as the Canada Carbon Rebate instead of the Climate Action Incentive Payment.
