The Saint John Community Arts Board is now accepting submissions for the 2023 Art Bank program.
Submissions can be from emerging or professional artists, groups and collaborations who are residents of the city.
This work can be seen within City Hall, as well as various locations throughout the city, including the Saint John Arts Centre, Market Square and the Saint John Free Public Library.
“If you look at the art that’s displayed now, we have quite a diverse array of art, and the comments we get from visitors say they tell the social history of Saint John,” said Kate Wilcott, arts and culture coordinator for the City of Saint John.
“We want to support our Saint John artists and allow them to have their work included in our art bank.”
The city’s art collection features work by celebrated artists from Saint John including Miller Brittain, Fred Ross, and Herzl Kashetsky.
Eligible artwork includes:
- paintings
- sculptures
- limited edition prints and photographs
- drawings
- fine craft
- mixed media
The submission deadline is Monday, December 18th. Application and restriction details can be found by clicking here.
