5 PM: Most customers now have their power back

Crews continue their work to restore power after high winds tore through the province on Monday.

NB Power reported 19 outages impacting more than 67 homes and businesses as of 5 p.m. Thursday.

The bulk of those outages continue to be in the Kennebecasis Valley/Fundy region, where 54 customers are affected.

NB Power said it expects to have all outages repaired before the end of the day on Thursday.

“The restoration efforts have been challenging, and crews continue to safely restore power,” the utility said in a social media post on Wednesday.

More than 53,000 homes and businesses serviced by NB Power lost electricity at some point during the storm.
