A woman and man from Moncton, and a woman from Halifax, Nova Scotia have been arrested after a drug trafficking investigation.
On August 31, police arrested a 49-year-old woman, a 43-year-old man, and a 36-year-old woman at a business on Canada Street, in Moncton.
Police seized quantities of what is believed to be cocaine, crack cocaine, oxycodone, hydromorphone pills, crystal methamphetamine, methamphetamine pills, money, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
The same day, a home on Ward Street was searched by officers. During the search, police seized what is believed to be cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, methamphetamine pills, money, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and a prohibited weapon.
The three individuals were later released on conditions, and are scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on January 10, 2024.
This investigation was the result of a joint effort between the Codiac RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) and the RCMP Provincial Crime Reduction Unit (PCRU), with the assistance of the New Brunswick Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU), and Via Rail Canada Police Service and Corporate Security (VRCPS). The New Brunswick IEU is made up of members from the New Brunswick RCMP, as well as municipal police and Justice and Public Safety officers in the province.
