The Saint John Sea Dogs have acquired Philadelphia Flyers prospect Matteo Mann from Chicoutimi.
In return, Chicoutimi will receive a second-round pick in 2024 and a third-round pick in 2026 from the Sea Dogs.
“It’s not every day an NHL prospect with Matteo’s package becomes available,” Sea Dogs general manager Anthony Stella said in a news release.
“We feel this trade makes us tougher to play against, it makes us more competitive and most importantly gives us a better chance at winning hockey games.”
Mann, who hails from Sackville, N.B., was selected by the Flyers in the seventh round of the 2023 NHL Draft.
He spent the past three seasons with Chicoutimi, registering three goals and 14 assists.
