Four Walmart employees in Moncton have been recognized for their quick actions in a recent child abduction case.
Codiac RCMP presented the employees with Certificates of Appreciation at the store on Wednesday.
On October 30, a missing 6-year-old boy was found safe at the northwest Walmart location.
An Amber Alert had been issued in Florida for the boy who was reported missing on August 27.
The FBI was investigating the case and the boy’s father and grandmother were wanted by police in connection with the alleged abduction.
A customer approached one of the employees and said they believed the missing boy was inside the store.
Employees quickly identified the child and contacted police.
The boy’s father was apprehended by officers inside the store.
Codiac RCMP wanted to acknowledge the employees for their roles in assisting the community.
