We now know when the new Sephora location in east Saint John will open its doors to the public.
A grand opening for the McAllister Place store will take place on Aug. 12, the company announced Tuesday.
Plans for the cosmetics retailer to set up shop in McAllister Place were first announced by the mall in late April.
Marketing Director Tanya McCluskey-Kelly was unable to say at the time when the shop would be opening.
But she was able to confirm that it would be opening in the former berth of the Le Château clothing store, near the food court.
“It’s first to market in Saint John, so we’re very excited to be having Sephora open in McAllister Place,” McCluskey-Kelly said in a call with business publication Huddle.
This will mark Sephora’s third New Brunswick location. It also has stores in Fredericton and Dieppe.
Sephora, a French cosmetics chain, was founded in 1970 in Paris and opened its first location in the United States in 1998 in New York City. Its stores sell more than 100 brands of cosmetics, make-up, skincare products, beauty tools, and accessories.
It currently has more than 90 stores located across Canada.
