New Brunswick Public Health reported on Wednesday one person who had COVID-19 has died.
An individual in their 70s from the Fredericton health zone passed away.
The province’s COVID-19 death toll now stands at 313.
Virus-related hospitalizations have fallen by one to 98, with 49 of those individuals admitted for COVID-19. The number of patients in ICU has risen to 16, an increase of four from Tuesday.
There is also one more New Brunswicker on a ventilator for a total of 6.
The number of healthcare workers in the province who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are now isolating is 579.
92.9 per cent of the eligible population has received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, 87.3 per cent has two doses, and 50.5 per cent has a booster.
In terms of new cases, PCR tests have confirmed 342 new infections as active cases stand at 3,857.
The Department of Health has also had 498 new rapid test positives reported to them.
