Saint John Energy customers will see their rates increase in April.
The utility confirmed that effective April 1, customers can expect a two per cent increase in their electricity rates
“The rate increase, which will apply to all Saint John Energy customer rate classes, follows a two per cent increase in electricity supply costs from NB Power,” reads a statement from Saint John Energy.
However, this jump will not impact hot water or heat pump rental fees.
“Saint John Energy’s rates will remain among the lowest in the region. On average, residential rates are 10 per cent lower than elsewhere in the province,” added the statement.
