One man has died after a late-night single-vehicle crash near Cap-Pelé.
In a news release, Southeast District RCMP said around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, Mounties, Ambulance New Brunswick, and Cap-Pelé Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle accident on Highway 15 in Portage.
The lone occupant, a 20-year-old man from Petit-Cap, died at the scene due to his injuries, and an autopsy will be scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
Police believe the crash occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle, entered the ditch and rolled over.
Though RCMP noted poor weather and road conditions are believed to be factors, the cause of the crash is still being investigated.
