Another three New Brunswickers who had tested positive for COVID-19 have died.
According to the COVID-19 dashboard, a person in their 40s from the Saint John region, as well as two individuals 90 or older from either the Fredericton or Saint John health zones passed away.
New Brunswick’s COVID-19 death toll is now at 278.
There are 140 people in hospital due to the virus, which is up by one from Wednesday.
Hospitalizations consist of 63 patients who were admitted for COVID-19 and 77 who contracted the virus after being admitted.
Of those in the hospital, 15 patients are in intensive care, and there are currently eight people on a ventilator.
321 health care workers are isolating due to exposure to COVID-19 in the two health authorities, Extra Mural program and Ambulance New Brunswick.
Through PCR tests, Public Health has confirmed 351 new cases of COVID-19, while an additional 605 positive rapid tests have been reported.
As a result of vaccination efforts, 92.5 per cent of eligible residents have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, 85.7 per cent have two doses, and 47 per cent rolled up their sleeves for a third jab.
