The rising number of COVID-19 cases may have dampened your travel plans for now, but you may be planning ahead.
CAA Atlantic Spokesperson Steve Olmstead says they’ve seen a bit of a pause currently on bookings.
Those who are thinking about a trip, are hopeful for 2022.
Olmstead adds when booking your flight and accommodations, insurance is a good idea, “Travel insurance helps you understand what your options are, both in terms of cancellations or rebooking for things like flights, accommodations. Travel medical insurance has become more popular too. People just like to know they are covered for a number of situations and when they get to their destination, they know what support they have.”
Olmstead says if you do suddenly encounter COVID-19, it’s nice to know what you are covered for, “Travel medical insurance can be customized to your specific travel plans, destinations, length of stay and activities.”
