It’s now officially winter!
The solstice arrived in New Brunswick at 11:59 a.m. on Tuesday which means the days will slowly start getting longer again.
So what will the next three months bring in terms of weather for the season?
The Weather Network meteorologist Jessie Uppal says we can expect moderate temperatures in January and February.
She says if you’re a fan of winter and especially snow, you may be a bit disappointed this year.
“So this will mean maybe some systems bring rain, ice pellets and freezing rain and maybe not so much in terms of snowfall.”
Uppal also believes the season will be less stormy with fewer Nor’easters expected.
