Seamus Byrne announced his candidacy for the leadership of the Liberal Party of New Brunswick at a virtual event on Thursday in Saint John.
He mentioned in a phone interview before the event that his administration is here to govern for everyone.
“I will expand on housing initiatives and build more affordable housing, I will also address the centralization of resources because we live in a 51 per cent rural province.”
He also mentioned what he has noticed over the past 15 to 20 years is government officials have consistently failed, and lack leadership.
“Most of the politicians around here go into politicals for the job because they are all in a race campaigning, and I would say they get the seat, and don’t provide the province with the return on investment that is necessary.”
Seamus has spent over a quarter-century in corporate development.
In this time Seamus has helped raise over $600 million for companies going public.
