Flags are back at half-mast to mark Indigenous Veterans Day.
The flags on federal buildings were hoisted at sunset on Sunday so they could be lowered to honour veterans on Monday.
Officials confirm the same method will be used for Remembrance Day after talks with Indigenous leaders and groups.
After November 11th, they will fly at full mast on government buildings.
Flags on federal buildings have been at half-mast since May 30th after the remains of hundreds of children were discovered at a former B.C. residential school.
They will continue to be lowered to mark National Truth and Reconciliation Day every September 30th.
