On Friday, New Brunswick Public Health reported 51 new cases of COVID-19 and one virus-related death.
A person in their 70s from the Edmundston region has died.
There are 22 new cases in the Moncton health zone, 10 in the Saint John area, two in the Fredericton region, two in the Edmundston area, three in the Campbellton region, and 12 in the Miramichi health zone.
14 people are in hospital due to the virus, with nine requiring intensive care.
After 37 recoveries, active cases in the province now stand at 477.
Meantime, there are 126 active cases in the Saint John region, and 180 in the Moncton area.
85.6 per cent of the eligible New Brunswick population are fully vaccinated and 92.8 per cent have received their first dose of a vaccine.
Circuit Breaker
Effective Friday at 6 p.m., circuit breaker restrictions in the northern part of the Fredericton region, the Edmundston health zone, and the Campbellton area will be lifted.
However, the circuit breaker remains in place for another seven days in the Moncton region, and as far north as and including Sainte-Anne-de-Kent and a large section of the Saint John health zone.
