RCMP have said a 40-year-old Nauwigewauk man died after a vehicle drove off the Gondola Point ferry into the Kennebecasis River last weekend.
About 8:45 on Saturday night, someone saw a vehicle driving through a barricade onto the docked ferry on the Kingston side.
Soon after, a vehicle drove off the ferry ramp and into the water.
Hampton RCMP officers, fire officials with rescue boats and paramedics responded to the scene.
A man’s body was recovered from inside a vehicle on Sunday afternoon.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
