True North Seafood Named In Top 25 Innovators List

Cooke Inc. has announced its consumer brand, True North Seafood, has been named to the SeafoodSource.com Top 25 seafood product innovators 2021 edition.

The company submitted three of its new products for consideration, the wild-caught deep-sea red crab, frozen Atlantic salmon portions, and Atlantic salmon burgers.

“With the Covid-19 pandemic, consumers are seeking healthy, easy-to-prepare options to make at home, and we’re proud to have developed new restaurant-flavor products to help meet that need,” said Joel Richardson, vice-president of public relations for Cooke Inc., in a news release.

“With our new products, we are focused on simple ingredients, which we know is becoming increasingly important. We also emphasized the protein content of our products, to help consumers find this information easily on our packaging,” added Richardson.

In 2020, the corporation was named one of the top 25 seafood suppliers in North America for conservation and sustainability.
