A unique Saint John fundraiser can fill you up and serve a good cause, and it comes with a keepsake.
L’Arche Saint John has teamed up with Ethel & Mary’s for this Friday’s fundraiser called Soup’s On.
Participants will get a bowl of homemade soup and get to keep the handmade bowl it comes in.
Danika Vautour of Quispamsis is one of the potters participating in the event.
“I think it was really nice to see everyone just come together as a community to work on this fundraiser. I think everyone is kind of buzzing and vibrating waiting for Friday to get here,” Vautour said.
She called L’Arche “a wonderful community”.
“I was really grateful to be able to volunteer with them in the past at Creative Connections. It’s really wonderful to see what they are doing first-hand and to see people with and without intellectual disabilities living and co-existing together. It’s really beautiful,” Vautour said.
The other potters taking part are Rachel Greenwood, Amy Sullivan, Denise MacLean, and Darren Emeneau.
Tickets are still available for Friday’s event and range from $30 to $60.
Only 30 TICKETS remain! Our scrumptious fundraiser TOMORROW (Friday) features locally handmade pottery bowls (yes, you keep one!) and a delicious meal from Ethel & Mary's.
