Rapid testing program expanding
Meanwhile, the province announced it would be expanding its rapid-testing program.
People in circuit breaker areas two and older who do not have COVID-19 symptoms and have not been identified by Public Health as a close contact of a confirmed case will be able to pick up free rapid-test kits.
The kits can be administered at home, and are available Saturday, Oct. 16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Magic Mountain parking lot in Moncton, Perth-Andover Middle School in Perth-Andover, and Town Hall in Grand Falls.
One kit has five tests to be used over a 10-day period. Anyone 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult to acquire a testing kit.
Although the program is starting in the circuit breaker areas, officials say it will be expanded across the province.
