Campobello Island residents will be able to take the ferry to and from mainland New Brunswick for a bit longer this year.
Officials with East Coast Ferries, which operates the ferry, says the service has been extended by a month to the end of October.
The ferry, which connects Campobello Island to Deer Island, typically operates between June and September each year.
When the ferry is not running, Campobello Island residents are forced to travel through Maine to get to mainland New Brunswick.
The ferry will operate four days a week, weather permitting. You can find the latest schedule on East Coast Ferries’ Facebook page.
