The new federal cabinet will be sworn in next month.
That’s according to Justin Trudeau who met with the media yesterday.
He says he confirmed to the Governor-General the Liberals would be forming the next government.
Trudeau says one person has already agreed to join his inner circle.
“I have asked Chrystia Freeland to continue serving as deputy prime minister and our minister of finance, and she has accepted,” says Trudeau.
“I look forward to getting into it with her and with the other members of cabinet, who I’ll be asking to join over the coming weeks. We will be swearing-in cabinet in the month of October.”
Trudeau adds that parliament will also resume sitting this year.
