The Saint John Police Force provided an update Wednesday on the investigation into Courtney MacKenzie’s death.
The body of the 27-year-old Saint John woman was found in a Victoria Street home on May 11th.
Police described the circumstances surrounding her death as “suspicious.”
A news release said the Major Crime Unit is currently investigating indignity to a dead human body, adding that homicide has not been ruled out.
Investigators are interviewing witnesses, reviewing physical and electronic records, as well as collecting and analyzing forensic evidence.
Saint John police offered thanks to MacKenzie’s family and to the public for their patience as “investigations of this nature are often complex and lengthy.”
