A Grand Bay-Westfield councillor candidate said her skill set makes her a valuable member for the town council.
Nancy Perry said her number one priority will be to listen to the people of the community.
She said other priorities include building the local economy and increasing employment opportunities.
Perry said her many years of experience working as a civil servant for the provincial and municipal government prepare her for this role.
She will be campaigning through social media, volunteering in the community and working with the other candidates to find a way to meet and greet safely.
Perry said she wants to have a role where she can listen, educate and share the voice of the community.
Some of her priorities include safe roads, trails and sidewalks as well as creating recreational opportunities for all ages and conducting an emergency action plan review.
She said transportation for seniors is also difficult especially during COVID and she’d like to take a look at public transportation to see what is possible.
Perry is a swim chair for the Lifesaving Society and was nominated to be on the New Brunswick Wildlife Trust Fund.
