The vice-president of Saint John Energy is receiving some national recognition.
Ryan Mitchell has been named one of Canada’s Clean50 leaders by Clean50 and Delta Management Group.
Mitchell was singled out for championing a growth strategy that includes a smart power grid enabled with advanced artificial intelligence and the Burchill Wind Project.
“I’m flattered to be among Canada’s Clean50 leaders, but this award really belongs to everyone at Saint John Energy working tirelessly to build on our organization’s incredible legacy and embrace a new energy future for our city and our customers,” Mitchell said in a news release.
The awards recognize 50 people or small teams across 16 different categories who have done the most to advance the cause of sustainability and clean capitalism in Canada.
Mitchell was recognized in the Traditional Energy & Generation category.
“We’re so proud of Ryan for receiving this prestigious recognition. It echoes all we know about him already — a leader with integrity, dedicated to doing what’s right for the future of his community,” said Ray Robinson, president and CEO of Saint John Energy.
More than 900 people were considered for the Clean50 program this year.
