Seniors in the province can now apply for a benefit if they’re low income.
The Government of New Brunswick says in order to be eligible for the $400 benefit, the person applying must have been a resident of New Brunswick on December 31, 2020.
The person applying must also have received one of the federal benefits under the Old Age Security Act.
The federal benefits include a guaranteed income supplement, allowance for survivor program, or allowance program.
If eligible, you’re asked to apply online or print the application and mail it in to support physical distancing measures.
