New Brunswick recorded five new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
The one case in Zone 1 (Moncton region) is as follows:
- an individual 19 and under. This case is travel-related.
The one case in Zone 3 (Fredericton region) is as follows:
- an individual 30 – 39. This case is travel-related.
The three cases in Zone 4 (Edmundston region) are as follows:
- an individual 50-59; and
- two people 60 – 69.
Since Saturday there has been one new recovery and the number of active cases in the province is 37. There is one patient hospitalized with the virus.
Pharmacies will begin to vaccinate those who are 85 and older on Wednesday, March 17, but Public Health is reminding only those who fit the current age criteria to book appointments.
To receive the vaccine, those eligible must either call or use the pharmacy website to book an appointment. Residents will require a medicare card to book their vaccination, and those without one will still be eligible but should consult the pharmacy in advance.
