New Brunswick’s auditor general is moving on.
Kim Adair-MacPherson will leave her post to fill the same role in Nova Scotia.
In a statement, Adair-MacPherson said after 36 years of service with the province she is taking on an “exciting new opportunity” as auditor general of Nova Scotia.
She said serving for 10 years as New Brunswick’s auditor general was “especially rewarding” and she appreciated the chance to serve her home province.
Adair-MacPherson said it was a personal focus to build and strengthen their audit team, modernize the Auditor General Act and increase the budget for the office.
Adair-MacPherson said she leaves the office with a “huge feeling of accomplishment and gratitude for the support of legislators, the professional audit team, provincial officials throughout the provincial government and the New Brunswick public”.
She thanked her family and friends for their continuous support and encouragement as she takes on this new opportunity.
It’s her hope to visit often and to return to “my home province of New Brunswick”.
She begins her new post in May.
