The rollout of COVID vaccines has given Canadian travellers some hope about hitting the road, the skies or the seas again according to CAA Atlantic.
Although he urges everyone to keep those travel dreams alive, Gary Howard, CAA Atlantic Vice President Marketing & Communications, advises that this is still not the time to travel.
“The vaccine is here and people are hoping for maybe June… July… August… where everyone has had the vaccine and we better understand what the safety protocols will be.”
Howard says the airlines, cruise lines and tour operators have spent the pandemic enhancing their safety protocols and are ready to go.
Whether or not destinations will be ready is another story and he notes how some countries will be better prepared for a post-COVID world than others.
But he adds some clients are booking packages and cruises into later this year or into early next year.
