Two people are facing charges after drugs were seized during a traffic stop in Fredericton late last week.
Fredericton police say officers stopped a vehicle on Westmorland Street on the city’s south side shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday.
Officers seized what they believe to be methamphetamine, as well as other drugs, some of which had been thrown from the vehicle.
“Police seized a quantity of what is believed to be methamphetamine, as well as other drugs, some of which had been thrown from the vehicle, and were later located by the K-9 Team,” the force said in a news release.
A 45-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman from Fredericton were arrested at the scene and later released.
They both face charges of drug possession and possession of property obtained by crime. The woman also faces charges of flight and driving while suspended.
