PropertyGuys.com is expanding again, this time to South Africa.
President and CEO Ken Leblanc says they are collaborating with Dean Ferreira who will be the CEO for the franchise.
“Pretty exciting! It means to us that there is obviously a need for the model and a need for our concept and our 22 years of building something,” said Leblanc.
“We went on a global quest to find a truly disruptive approach to real estate and found it in Canada of all places,” said Ferreira. “We were truly amazed with the approach that PropertyGuys.com has pioneered over the last 20 years which is far better than anything else we could find. Our shared values of democracy, security and prosperity further helped to seal the deal.”
Leblanc says this has been in the works for around 18 months.
“Dean was looking to bring something different that wasn’t the traditional model. He shopped around the world, came across our doorstep and then here we are 18 months later and he purchased the master franchise.”
PropertyGuys.com was started in Moncton by three University students at Atlantic Baptist University, which is now known as Crandall University. It has grown to an international company with over 120 franchise units coast to coast and in the United States.
“Their keen interest in innovation and experience in both the franchising and real estate arenas bodes well for us. It’s surreal that we’ll be able to influence the ‘Future of Real Estate’ in South Africa from over 15,000km away,” said LeBlanc.
“Having that global experience in going somewhere that is not a normal expansion for companies. Being able to take our product and our offering abroad is exciting.”
