Atlantic University Sport (AUS) has sidelined competitive sports for the upcoming winter season.
That means all regular season and post-season games are cancelled along with any championships.
The University of New Brunswick, St. Thomas University and the Universite de Moncton are among the 11 universities in the organization.
Sports affected by this decision include hockey, curling and basketball.
AUS says individual universities can decide their own level of competition according to current COVID-19 public health guidelines.
Atlantic University Sport will not proceed with regular season competition or championships in winter 2021
