Permits are now available for landowners for nuisance deer harvesting in the Millidgeville area of Saint John.
The program was introduced in early 2019 and takes into account lot size, safety concerns and the number of permits issued.
It was originally intended to manage the urban deer population and Lyme disease.
If a landowner has a permit, they can choose to hunt or allow other hunters to use their tags.
The deer hunt will take place during regular bow-hunting from October 5th to November 22nd.
A map of the eligible area and applications can be found on the City of Saint John website.
