Health Canada is adding a number of hand sanitizers to a growing list of recalled products.
The health agency says they include ingredients, such as ethanol or denaturants, which could pose a risk to the user’s health.
They say side effects could include skin irritation and cracking, eye irritation, upper respiratory system irritation and headaches.
Canadians should consult the list regularly as it continues to be updated and to stop using any of the products listed.
Health Canada also maintains a list of hand sanitizers that contain technical-grade ethanol and are being recalled from the market because they are not compliant with federal regulations and may pose a risk to health.
