Former New Brunswick premier Brian Gallant has been named CEO of the Canadian Centre for the Purpose of the Corporation.
The centre was launched by Navigator Ltd., which calls itself Canada’s leading high-stakes public strategy and communications firm.
Gallant first joined the Toronto-based firm as a senior advisor earlier this year.
In a release, Navigator says the new initiative will “help corporations who are interested in becoming more purpose-driven and better at contributing to the well-being of society as a whole.”
“Business is increasingly expected to provide more value to stakeholders, speak out on important social issues, and help provide solutions to the world’s greatest challenges,” said Gallant in the release.
“It is exciting and an honour to have this opportunity to help business leaders and organizations identify, strengthen, and pursue their fundamental purpose and role in society.”
Gallant was the premier of New Brunswick from 2014 until 2018.
It is exciting and an honour to be named the CEO of the newly launched Canadian Centre for the Purpose of the Corporation, powered by @navltd – and this while still being able to live in Shediac Bridge. I am very grateful.
